Good morning Dear Readers,
On this Memorial Day, I am going to deviate a bit from my usual posts to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice so that we have the freedoms we hold so dearly.
Today is not about sides. Not left, right, or in between. No, today is about those who sacrificed their lives so that we could have a voice.
On this Memorial Day and because it is the 250th anniversary year of our country, let us put down our protest signs and give up our keyboard-warrior attitude. Instead, let us join hands, lift our voices in unity as a country to offer thanks to those (and their families) who laid down their lives so that we have the privilege to freely disagree. These are the true warriors. No matter what side of the fence you choose to stand on, please take a moment to give thanks for those men and women who died so that we could make that choice.
On this Memorial Day, I want to tell the friends and families of the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice….Thank you. Truly, no words have been invented to convey my gratitude. Please know that I am not alone in lifting you up this day and every day.
Today is a day to mourn those we have lost, but also to celebrate our freedom because someone was willing to provide that ultimate sacrifice.
